Saratoga 2015 - Week Three
The final full week of the Orchestra’s residency at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center began on Wednesday, August 19. Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin returned to Saratoga to lead all four concerts, joined by Concertmaster David Kim, pianist Beatrice Rana, and violinist Joshua Bell. Following rehearsal on August 19, a group of musicians performed a PopUp concert at Druthers Brewing Company located in downtown Saratoga Springs. Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Jason DePue (who also doubled as the mandolin player), Principal Bass Harold Robinson, Principal Timpani Don Liuzzi, and Principal Harp Elizabeth Hainen were joined by Wallace DePue (Jason’s violin-playing brother), guitarist Jordan Tice, and banjo player Don Shean for the performance.
