Academy of Music
160th Anniversary Concert and Ball

Join us for Philadelphia’s most fabulous party of the year—the annual Anniversary Concert and Ball, a spectacular white-tie event with star-studded performances, dining, and dancing, all supporting an iconic historic landmark.

When you walk into the Academy of Music, you see exactly what opening night guests saw 160 years ago. You’ll walk on the same marble floors, lit by the original chandeliers. You’ll see the same opulent, gilded interior, all plush red velvet and gold. The Academy is lovingly preserved, thanks to the generosity of everyone who celebrates her birthday at the Anniversary Concert and Ball each year.

For the 160th Anniversary Concert and Ball on Saturday, January 28, 2017, Philadelphia Orchestra Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin leads the Fabulous Philadelphians in performance. This year's special guest is Martin Short, who joins an illustrious list of artists who have included Al Pacino, Billy Joel, Sting, Yo-Yo Ma, Jill Scott, Hugh Jackman, Diana Krall, James Taylor, Renée Fleming, and Paul Simon.

Following the performance, guests proceed to the historic Hyatt at the Bellevue for an evening of dinner, dancing, and more live entertainment.
